Retreats Designed to Nourish Your Soul!

Our four night retreat includes the opportunity to paint with a well known artist or to join Janie, our Adventure Group Leader, on fun explorations in the surrounding area.

We partner with artists known for unique painting styles, as well as their ability to adapt their teaching style to both beginners and experienced painters. We work outdoors as often as possible to take advantage of our gorgeous settings. This is a no-judgement opportunity to take a risk and try something new, whether it is holding a paintbrush for the first time or trying a new style of painting that takes you out of your comfort zone!

Our adventure group often goes to a local flower farm to explore and take a design class; visits Squam Lake Natural Science Center for a hike and boat ride; takes an e-bike ride on a local trail or perhaps tours Castle in the Cloud’s historic property. We switch it up each retreat based on group interests.

Paint Plein Air or go on Local Adventures

CREATIVITY AND EXPLORATION

FRESH AIR, FRESH PERSPECTIVE

Nature Immersions

Soak up the scenic glory of the beautiful New Hampshire countryside through a group hike, outdoor meditation and yoga, a picnic on the lawn, a pontoon boat ride on stunning Lake Winnipesaukee, and quiet walks along country lanes. If you have joined us for painting, we will be painting plein air in scenic locations. Our hikes are fairly easy and include ancient stone walls, woodland paths, waterfalls, and scenic views that take you back to vintage New Hampshire.

Delicious Food and Drink

FEEDING BODY AND SOUL

You can’t jump start creativity without food for the soul! Our private chef creates healthy meals and snacks that take advantage of local farm fresh options. We also provide a bar with wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages and some fun cocktails designed to complement dinner. We stock our kitchen with your requests for a do- it yourself breakfast and accommodate dietary preferences. As we gather around the table with friends and nourish our bodies, we also nurture our hearts and souls with laughter and enriching conversation.

Space and Time for New Friendships

CONNECTION AND COMMUNITY

We are intentional about mixing it up and keeping our retreats to usually twelve women. We encourage women to come alone, or at most with just one friend, to facilitate new friendships and connections. Our “fireside chats” after dinner are conversations that invite sharing among the group as we discuss topics such as “Aging Gratefully” and “Eat Healthy, Stay Fit and Live Well”.

Our goal is to fill your days with joy so that you remember who you truly are, meeting interesting women who spark thoughtful conversations and new insights.

PERFECT GATHERING SPACES, ROOM TO SPREAD OUT

Picturesque Settings in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region

In 2024, we will gather in a beautiful renovated farmhouse straight out of Architectural Digest, as well as a “compound” of three renovated lakehouses perched on the edge of Lake Wentworth in Wolfeboro, NH. We make sure there is plenty of space to spread out but also cozy spots to rest and reflect. Most bedrooms are private with shared baths, and two are double occupancy- perfect if you are retreating with a friend. Spacious living rooms, inviting porches, a large warm kitchen and other nooks and crannies make it easy to grab a coffee and chat with a new friend.

“I wasn't sure what I would get out of this experience, but it exceeded my expectations! I finally was able to take a deep breathe and be my true self. I didn't think it was possible to find amazing new friends at my age, but I have. A truly wonderful retreat.”
